January 7, 2025, Kyabje Gyang Khang Chogtrul Rinpoche and the highly esteemed teacher Khenchen Pema Sherab Rinpoche, along with the monastery’s faculty members, had the honor of an audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

January 8, 2025, Kyabje Gyang Khang Chogtrul Rinpoche and the highly esteemed teacher Khenchen Pema Sherab Rinpoche, together with the khenpos, lopons, monks, and nuns of Namdroling Monastery, performed the Minling Dorsem and Lama Chödpa rituals at Drigung Kagyu Thupten Shedrub Ling Monastery to offer consolation and pay respect for the parinirvana of Chöje Ayang Rinpoche.

Dingri and several other regions in Tibet were devastated by an earthquake, resulting in a tragic loss of lives, numerous injuries, and the destruction of countless homes.

We, the Sangha of Namdroling Monastery, extend our deepest condolences to all those affected by this calamity. The prayers were led by the highly esteemed teacher Khenchen Pema Sherab Rinpoche, with the sangha reciting the Long-Life Buddha and Medicine Buddha mantras for the swift recovery of the injured and offering dedication prayers for those who passed away.
